When I started with #ActivityPub for #WordPress, it was a small experiment. Now almost 4 out of 10 #Fediverse servers are WordPress sites, and it is still growing, slowly but steadily. Come and join us @activitypub.blog 🎉

@pfefferle @activitypub.blog Wow! This is a HUGE achievement!
@pfefferle @activitypub.blog You’ve created something brilliant. Thank you for the plugin. It adds a whole new dimension to my WordPress site.
@pfefferle @activitypub.blog It's a really great thing and has brought my joy for blogging back. It's awesome to see how a post is shared and discussed on the fediverse. So thank you :)
@mschfr totally! just yesterday I checked the stats of my blog 😉
is it possible to use a WordPress.com site as a fully functional fedi site? and are there any Android mobile apps that work with it?
thanks.
@wjmaggos yes, you can enable it on any WordPress.com plans, even the free ones. We are also heavily working on bringing a better reader experience to WordPress, but this might take some more weeks/month.
I recommend you to read and subscribe the @activitypub.blog to get pinged on every new release and the general progress!
I pay for ghost for now but also mastohost because ghost doesn't have mobile app (or hashtag) support yet AFAIK.
@wjmaggos @activitypub.blog my friend @alex has developed a plugin that lets you publish to WordPress using any Mastodon app of your choice. However, this functionality isn't available by default on WordPress.com's free plans. You'll need to upgrade to a paid plan that supports installing plugins.
@pfefferle@mastodon.social it's a no-brainer to connect your WordPress blog to ActivityPub
@pfefferle yeah, I've been using the pligin for a few years. But I might lose WordPress one day, as I don't like how the project is lead, and I think it might be time for a simpler web.
