@mastodonmigration Impeachment is a dead end. Wasting time on it will just alienate voters bringing in Democrats, who want the damned economy fixed. That's 90% of what's driving this election this cycle. No impeachment will ever reach fruition.
We must continue to seek impeachment of Donald Trump and his cabinet, and also seek to apply any pressure we can on Democratic lawmakers to get on board.
But you’re also right in that we won’t have the votes for impeachment any time soon. And so we must do two things at the same time, which are to pursue an economic agenda to help people and undo the Trump regime’s damage while building support for future impeachment.

Investigations into the corruption and destruction of federal agencies, etc. is completely reasonable and necessary, but taken too far the public will start viewing it as just another revenge tour switched to the other party. Not accurate, but that's how it will be viewed, and it powers the "there's no difference between the parties" propaganda. Impeachment is just a total waste of time since it is doomed. Period.
