Regular car journey with the kids we always bet on an exact time that we arrive home. We have league tables and a points system. I deliberately slow down or speed up to make sure I win.

And winning is great of course. Feels lovely.
But you know what else feels lovely? Not giving a shit about winning and instead seeing the joy on your kids faces when they triumph. But maybe that's just me.
