@cwebber @glyph @mostol Slop evangelists don't care about community, any more than they do human creatively, they either want the endorphin rush that comes from internet points given by people who don't know how damaging what they're doing is, or to help install the AI tollbooth in another place that it is neither wanted or welcome.
They're leaving the internet a wasteland, with small tightly walled off communities that aren't visible from the outside, surrounded by ghost towns and the desert of Reddit, centralised Socials and Discord, where bots will tell at oneanother and scrape the responses forever more.

"Nobody actually enjoys the hard work of learning to play an intrument" wasn't an observation, but a mission statement. He's here to suck all the joy out of it, and the same applies to every other pursuit under attack by genAI.
