#ExploringPerfumeNDB Two fails today. Which is a good thing. Because that means I don't want to buy bottles. These are mostly all samples or travel sizes I'm testing. First French Defense and second was Delina. French Defense top notes include dark cherry. Realizing I don't like cherry, at least on me. And Delina - VERY sweet rose. Again, at least on my skin. I am craving something dark and deep. Need to go and spray Tauer's "challenging" Oudh over it I think. 😊 I am so NOT a sweet girl. :)
@LPerry2 Oh I'm sorry to hear that. 😞 I LOVE oriental vintage fragrances. I am heartbroken that many of my vintage samples (which lived in a dark box for 20-30 years) are no longer available, or have been reformulated. But it's fascinating to learn about. I wish they'd rename them though. I bought some thinking they were the same and they're not.
@nomdeb I wonder if you could find original fragrances at estate sales?
@LPerry2 I have found some on ebay, etc. But it's a crap shoot. Depending on how they've been stored, etc. And of course fakes. 😞 I did try to replace Tiffany's (the original) which I LOVE - and it was rancid when I got the bottle. The seller refunded me, so I was lucky about that at least.
@nomdeb I like the oldies, like Opium...which I'm allergic to.
