the guard has been waiting years for someone to ask that

@davidrevoy

Please, someone tell me what 4 is referencing? Thanks!

@davidrevoy While I had a reasonably good experience with PHP (mystery surrounds the origins of the name, but appears to have something to do with someone's Home Page...) there was one 'security feature' that threw me.
A hashing function which I thought could be used for trapdoor encryption of passwords turned out to only operate on the first two characters of the input string! 'For' and 'Four' would both be accepted. Useful.
(Quietly switched to using LDAP after that)

@davidrevoy "1234. (access granting noises) A-ha-ha! You know, as much as I'd like to claim that this is the result of me being a genius, it's more that someone else was NOT… we probably spent tens of millions on the security system then paid our janitor a minimum wage to install it. Knowing that code makes me a threat to national security now."

@davidrevoy "Speak 4 and enter" says the gate

@davidrevoy ☺

@davidrevoy Obviously needs to upgrade to 5.

@davidrevoy So niche, so perfect

@davidrevoy GOOD ONE!
