@cwebber this is a beautifully concise explanation of why slop generators are not liberatory
@cwebber i think i'm missing something, failing to make the connection... i saw the follow-up post and quoted post, but i still don't understand.
is there someone equating "leveling the playing field" with "excluding other people"? or am i totally misinterpreting?
Seriously, would you be bothered if I stole that bottom line for my profile with attribution?
@401matthall Go for it! I actually said that line in a group chat and a friend said you HAVE to post that on socials
Well, if you're so inclined you can tell friend that one person _immediately lost their shit and loved it. <3
Holy fuck is that hitting the nail directly on the head.
That's _perfect_.
That... That's the _ball game_.
Point, set, match, etc, etc.
Everyone else can pack it up and go home.
This is the phrase that _wins_.
T-shirt... I need t-shirts and stickers.

Some of this thinking came from reflecting on why live coding and especially demoscene stuff is interesting. Especially in the latter, there is almost always some easier way to do things. It isn't because participating is hard that's interesting. It's the time and care that's part of it
It also came from reflecting on this post from @TodePond https://mas.to/@TodePond/117435659560967403
@cwebber one imagines a book launch of an author with piles of books that the author has never even seen inside! Maybe a convention hall of authors with tables filled with books they didn't write or read (it's too long! There are so many of them!).
