Should Apple bring the iPad versions of Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro, and Logic Pro to iPhone Duo? What about iMovie and GarageBand? Playgrounds?
The answer to me is clearly ‘yes’ for the pro apps, but that also means Apple would have to come up with working regular-phone versions, since you can’t ‘only’ support the inner display. That’s a big step beyond the barely-functional ‘compact size class’ adaptations they’ve added to the iPad apps for window resizing
@stroughtonsmith I’ve been thinking about how we’re going to handle it with Linea Sketch and I think the only thing that makes sense is a picker/preview on the outer screen.
Only the inner screen can be used to edit and will appear when open from the preview. It’s where the pencil will work, too.
Editing on the outer screen is untenable for both developers and customers.
