★ The iPhone Duo

Thank you for the review!
"Consider if you could snap the Duo in half, leaving the smaller outer display as a standalone iPhone. Would anyone want an iPhone this shape and size? I think the answer is that zero people would want this."
I was actually awestruck by this idea moments before I reached this paragraph. I suppose "few" is harder to disprove than "zero."

@daringfireball @gruber This review is so far beyond anything else out there in terms of thoughtfulness and thorough specificity. I love a review that doesn’t just offer a pat or conclusory opinion. You explain in detail what is behind your reactions. It allows the reader to draw their own conclusions. This is you at your best and proof why sometimes (often?) a written review is better than a video.
@daringfireball @gruber Dunno, I feel like there should be a comma there #dftypo
@daringfireball Re: your comment that they should have waited to release the Duo with Face ID: I actually like Apple putting a steak in the ground with products. My frustration with Vision Pro isn't the devices flaws, it's that Apple doesn't seem hell bent on fixing them. If Apple only made Vision Pro, it would have done *something*. A gap from nothing to gen 1 is acceptable, but not between gen 1 and 2. I hope Duo receives more urgent updates. Apple Watch certainly did.
@daringfireball I was oh-so-casually considering that maybe using the Duo's outer display would be a good replacement for my 13 mini should I need to upgrade, but now..... sigh...
@daringfireball @gruber DooOS
(Also, agree that this one was your finest work in some time.)
@daringfireball Your best writing in years. Good job.
.@daringfireball 👍 👀
Same, bruh. Same:
…” I switched to using my mouse with my left hand around 1995, when I developed RSI in my right wrist, and I’ve used my mouse left-handed ever since.”…
@daringfireball FYI when I clicked on the image search link (not even in a cookieless window) to find out what a Transformers Watch looked like, I was greeted with a "click this box" captcha, followed by a hydrants captcha, at which point I closed the window and went to DDG instead. (I know I should be using Kagi, but DDG is OKish and I don't have to climb over a setup hurdle to get to it.)
Google REALLY doesn't want to help people find things on the web anymore, so why drag them through it?
@daringfireball You make some interesting good points about the camera. Is it required this way because of the kickstand case?
