@sun @icedquinn @vriska @ube the other thing is Ohio is a reddish state, his primary opponent was basically "the online right" as a person who made a lot of dumb mistakes, and then he's up against another COVID Karen who shut stuff down during that time. Vivek, by merits of being Vivek, has managed to piss that away.

@sun @icedquinn @vriska @ube no the online right actually hates him for being Indian and they feel if he wins he's going to let Indians mass migrate to the USA, or they make jokes about his strength (him being unable to lift the kid).
Or they see him as everything wrong with the GOP in one person because he really is, he's a billionaire who scams people, is rich, calls Americans lazy compared to immigrants, and there's theories that "he'll just import more Indians and get it rubber stamped by the GOP".
This isn't astroturfing, he's genuinely unpopular bipartisan wise.
