@hipsterelectron I mean the people are the (ir)responsible ones but they are not the ones doing most of the "work" here...
Reading the fine print, not watching the video... Is it fair to call this "iOS"?
@n00q if you need more proof have a look thru https://www.reddit.com/r/hackios/
@n00q "It takes XNU, the kernel Apple publishes openly (the core of an operating system, which talks to the chip, memory and storage), and patches it to run on that phone’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chip. Unmodified iOS 16.7.16 files from an iPhone X then sit on top." https://decrypt.co/381351/hackers-running-apple-ios-android-phones
@liaizon it will run but one of the big advantages of iphone hardware is they got the audio latency tolerances down so low in ios because they control the hardware. even if you can get it running on a cheap android phone, maybe 99% of software will work but there will inevitably be sound apps that won't. not a gotcha just a "oh that's interesting"
@sun I prefer android these days anyway what would be super tho is to get to the point where you can run android apps on ios and ios apps on android. I feel like it is sorta inevitable sooner or later
@liaizon I admit there are a variety of real problems caused by AI but I am loving how it's busting proprietary shit wide open in the meantime.
@liaizon I flipped from android to ios for reasons but android has really caught up and I don't think there's a huge usability gap anymore. I run android on a few devices and it's great these days.
@liaizon so you're accepting the claim that "AI" was responsible
