The PHP stuff is what happens when you have thirty years of corporations offloading the negative externalities of infrastructure maintenance onto volunteers who, for reasons that remain unclear to me to this day, enjoy being duped into doing work for them for free under guise that this is, somehow, advancing Freedom.

@kevin that is exactly the reason I switched from "free software as a hobby" to specifically "Apple II free software as a hobby".
I can tell you I will never spend one moment of my fleeting time on earth writing commercially relevant software for free.
