Question for other people who run their own website:
So far I've had a `mailto:<my email address>` link on my website to let people email me. It looks like a handful of spammers have picked it up, fortunately not much yet, but I'd like that to not happen any more. At the same time, I want actual people to be able to email me with relatively low friction.
What have you folks done to manage the tension between those two goals? Does the classic thing of "mailto:<name> AT <domain>" still work, or any variations on that? Or have spammers figured that one out?
@rachelplusplus my website says: "you can email my imaginary assistant at ".
It's been there for a year, received no spam yet. I suppose spambots see "imaginary", and "assistant", and don't deem it worth spamming. Humans don't care, they click.
