Have they even read the Bible? https://www.comicsands.com/maga-christian-free-school-lunch?utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=infeed&utm_campaign=linkprogram
@georgetakei
If "the Bible says God helps those who help themselves" then of course you can tell me the book, chapter and verse? Crickets, because it doesn't.
@georgetakei no, but they have multiple copies
@georgetakei they call themselves Christian, yet they only appear to have read the Old Testament. You know, the part where Jesus hasn't made an appearance...
@georgetakei Iβm of the opinion that no, they simply have it read to them by some asshole with an agenda. And even if they had read it, itβs still true that while reading is fundamental, comprehension is fundamentaler.
@georgetakei Considering only about 40% of people in the US have 8th grade proficiency or higher, with that number significantly dropping in students raised primarily in christian/catholic schools, I would say no. By numbers alone only about 1 in 5 adult Christians in the US even CAN read the bible, much less have actually read it. US Christians being protestants that don't read the bible and blindly believe in the word of the church and tradition is honestly pretty telling in itself.
@georgetakei After having read what those so-called Christians are writing, it really looks like that they got the government they deserved ... too bad that theyβre dragging an entire nation and millions of innocent people down with them.
@georgetakei Only the executive summary of it.
@georgetakei they're not true Christians. They certainly don't believe in the tenets Christ preached
@georgetakei
Maybe just the part where God drowned everyone who irritated him
@georgetakei When they get the contracts void and new ones are up for bid, they will no longer against free lunches.
