@jalefkowit I can't get excited about the prospects of committees or hearings in a new Democratic congress (🙏🏾) because the executive and judicial branches are run by Trump allies/conservative operatives that can & will shank any investigation hovering over a protected target.
@dcdeejay Congressional investigations don't require executive or judicial branch cooperation to run. Congress can investigate anything a majority there wants to.
@jalefkowit The investigations won't get very far without subpeonas that can be enforced.
@dcdeejay If they defy the investigation, that by itself makes news and creates momentum.
