@ben Looks like user data ended up to a data reseller, as the current Foursquare website is has head title of “Location Intelligence Platform” and main headline of “Connect real-world behavior to business outcomes”.
Foursquare was always a bit sketchy on how the data would be (re)used, but now it is perfectly clear that it is used for large scale profiling of people’s habits and personal connections.
