#PennedPossibilities 1161: Do you have any mythology around the afterlife in your universe?
Mistelin is the god of mourners and the recently deceased. His domain is often called the Rest Stop, because it's where the dead stay until they're ready to move on.
The actual land of the dead was ruled by a god who was lost in the Cyclone; it may not exist anymore, or it may have been taken over by an even more secretive and hostile power.
Either way, the road there from the Rest Stop was cut off, and over the last five centuries, Mistelin has slowly become overwhelmed by the ghosts crowding his domain.
After the Revival, he'll make some kind of deal with Coreas, god of winter, to create a new land of the dead and make Onumbrica slightly less haunted.
