@raven Alberta is the richest province due to all its oil money, and much more right-wing than most of the country. Basically the Texas of Canada.
Their politicians have been drumming up. anti-canada rhetoric for the past 6 years or so due to the federal government imposing transfer payments from richer provinces to poorer ones, so that everyone can have similar levels of healthcare and social services.

In a world where 10% of people would vote that water isn't wet, that's basically a landslide.
I'm always curious about ballot initiatives that aren't even close. Someone did a lot of work just to get humiliated.
