Considering a boycott of FOSS outside of work and personal projects until the movement stops with the reactionary holier than thou art bullshit. Nobody gets mad about the bullying and harassment that plagues FOSS. But everyone gets mad because a company most people who aren’t terminally online haven’t heard of whose website looks fine donated to NetBSD and they put their logo on the front page.
I didn’t even know shit about FUTO until today.

@solonovamax FUTO donated to NetBSD, who put their logo on the website as is policy for major donors. They like others were not aware they’re a fash tech company. They apparently use FOSS for reputation laundering by donating to projects and having their logo slapped on the site, then imply this is endorsement and offsets the bad. I didn’t know this either because I never think of FUTO. I knew they existed but I know nothing else about them.
@solonovamax and people are mad because NetBSD can’t remove it due to charter policy and the board must meet to vote to alter the charter. “How dare they follow the law and legal procedures to do this so they don’t get sued.”
