If you are considering buying a new Kindle, friendly reminder that we have been stuck on 300ppi resolution since 2014 and the E-Ink market is a monopoly. If your old one still works, it may not be worth to upgrade to a new edition that will be harder to jailbreak. If you need a redesigned version for things like connections etc, you can check the different Kobos. They are easier to hack and repair

E-ink devices are one of those things that I think should have come a lot further down in price by now. If stores can put hundreds of them in every grocery aisle, can't I get one for a reasonable price?

At Quellcode 3 I did a E-Reader Meetup, and it turned out to be really focused on the xteink devices, because we had one of any one they sell all together 🙈
I hope Kindle and Kobo Users also did have fun attending the Meetup 😅
@forpeterssake we have been in the same resolution for almost a DECADE and they still put them at $200+ give me a fucking break. I hate monopolies
