So I got #Valheim the other day and have been trying it out, I'm not a big gamer by any means. I'm finding it frustrating because I keep dying and losing all my stuff and then I re-spawn in my far away bed and have to do this long hike in my underpants, back to the spot I died so I can get my stuff back, then dying before I can equip my ax or whatever, over and over. Yeah I know you have to build multiple beds to spawn in but man I just wanna build stuff.
Oh, no! I feel your pain.
Take the time to build a few shelters with a bed on your way, to ease the distance from spawn to grave.
If you have portals, always travel with one and set it up before trying something dangerous.
I'm also happy to chat with you about strategy and tricks.
@Firlefanz Thank you for the tips!
When creating a world, under world modifiers, you can make it so you at least keep gear you have equipped when dying.
And can also turn off raids and make enemies passive too. 🙃

Even with passive on, and raids turned off, you can still have Combat set to Hard and get credit for killing bosses on Hard for those Achievements.
Also mods for teleporting to corpse.
@bgm Beginner tips:
Remember to eat 3 foodstuff at all times. Make sure you have rested bonus. Dont go into the Black Forest before fighting the first boss. Take it slow be careful.
Also, you can change the game setup to make it more friendly to building stuff instead of fighting.
@bgm and besides all the tips u already got: Valheim is a bwf game. Better with friends. If you look under the game hashtag you'll find a lot of very nice people like @dgar or @Firlefanz (already replied to you) and more who might be available to join your game and help out with sticky situations or you find your own group to enjoy Valheim together.
extra tip: With standard settings, managing stamina is key to surviving battles. learn to actively slow down from sprinting away, to regain stamina.
