What should we ship in 2027? Rank your favourite features & create your wishlist: https://interop-rank.fxdx.dev/
If you mean AI-related web platform features, then none are up for selection for Interop 2027, which is why you didn't find one in the list.

Most web standards discussion happens on GitHub, so it seemed like a reasonable choice. What would you prefer? It has to be one that wouldn't make it easy to create lots of accounts and skew the results.
I hate it when people respond politely to trolling, it's so infuriating! 😄
But thank you for doing that! 🙂
GitHub has been increasingly antithetical to FOSS for a while now and it's getting increasingly sad how many FOSS projects are simply deciding to bury their heads in the sand about that.
I'd imagine any platform that requires some form email verification should be sufficient for what you want (there's already accounts.firefox.com, that seems quite reasonable). If one is inclined to try and flood this creating multiple GitHub accounts shouldn't be all that difficult either.
@kunev I considered accounts.firefox.com, but there'd be internal bureaucracy around that, and this is intended as a cross-browser data gathering project.
@firefoxwebdevs
Is there no other way of voting without signing up to Microsoft Github?
@MrLee No.
Most web standards discussion happens on GitHub right now, so it seemed like a reasonable choice. Which option would you prefer? It has to be one that wouldn't make it easy to create lots of accounts and skew the results.
@firefoxwebdevs Just waiting on more Servo development and the eventual switch. Light, fast, secure and private by default are the asks.
@firefoxwebdevs make it easier to run an "account Server" (sync Firefox profile via self hosted Server)
I tried and failed about 1.5 Years ago.
@firefoxwebdevs @FirefoxOfficial A version of Firefox with no AI… #StuperIntelligence
Late-1990s UI.
THIS RIGHT HERE ⤵️ is what good user interface design looks like: clear borders, text labels, real menus, and distinctive, highly-contrasting background behind browser chrome.
It's not perfect—the buttons don't have borders, notably, and the icons along the bottom are not labeled—but it's a sight better than what everyone's doing now.
@firefoxwebdevs ship a wishlist that doesn't require a github login?
@stw most web standards discussion happens on GitHub right now, so it seemed like a reasonable choice. Which option would you prefer? It has to be one that wouldn't make it easy to create lots of accounts and skew the results.
@firefoxwebdevs I don't know, maybe accounts.firefox.com? I'm generally happy with anything that doesn't require microsoft or google or similar.
@stw accounts.firefox.com isn't a general login provider. Maybe if I jumped through enough hoops internally, I'd get to use this, but this tool isn't Firefox focused, it's designed to provide data for Interop 2027, which is a cross-browser initiative.
- Removal of all things AI.
- Increase restrictions on tracking
@MichaelBishop this is about web platform features (see the list), and I haven't seen anything relating to AI on there. I don't see anything on there that creates a tracking issue either.
@firefoxwebdevs@mastodon.social Is WebUSB still seen as negative? The only reason I keep Chromium around is to use tools like https://flash.android..com or the GrapheneOS WebUSB based installer. It's super useful and I would love to see it come to Firefox!
@burger we already shipped WebSerial, and we're going to reassess WebUSB next year.
@firefoxwebdevs like you care what we want
@Ox1de we ran this last year, and it influenced the things we championed for Interop 2026. For things that didn't make it into Interop 2026, it helped us priorities development of those too.
@firefoxwebdevs This is such an awesome way to prioritize community feedback!
@firefoxwebdevs Respect for people's explicit preferences. No dark pattern bullshit. No 'tyranny of the default' with defaults that 90% of users would say no to if explicitly asked or if they understood implications. No reverting settings to what you'd prefer after a user has made an explicit choice through the UI or via about:config.
@firefoxwebdevs Reading the room on DIMM prices and availability, how about reducing memory profile?
@firefoxwebdevs Thank you for asking.
That's a cool list of options!
Which one is the "Stop with the slop already!"?
