Hey ZFS folks: If I am running PostgreSQL 18, can I use an 8k recordsize on the dataset? What about the WAL directory? Does that stay in a separate dataset with a different recordsize or does it all go together?

@pertho i still need to do more testing, but compression settigs, recordsize, compressability, ARC, disk performance, and how much writing vs readng all seem to interact quite a bit. At this time, I'm using 32k record size, which allows compression, but doesnt write as much as a default 128k record. I need to use synthetic testing for most of this because my typical database usage doesnt hit the performance limits of my hardware, and of course benchmarks don't necessarily match your usage.
