We are more in agreement than you realize:
I guess now is a good as time as any: I am using #Anthropic's #Claude on a weekly basis to both help me figure out what types of policies we should set for reasonable & ethical use of #LLMGenAI in #FOSS, & also to actually improve FOSS codebases.
I believe firmly that there is nothing wrong with using proprietary technologies as long as our eyes are on the prize of defeating those technologies.
@cwebber, I'm sure, doesn't agree.
@ryanprior We always had dipshits in software, but somehow AI made them drop their mask, for everyone to see.
That's probably the only good thing that came out of AI.
