Playing around with the Home Assistant Voice (Preview Edition), it's fascinating how well it works out of the box.

But what's even more fascinating: This is "just" an ESPHome device. With a 70k YAML config, but still! You can see it here:

@scy yes it is remarkable. I'm currently messing around with a 2nd hand echo show 5 with techo5 OS. Also an esp32 device adding a small screen. Worth checking out the project its impressive work, de-enshitifying and bring an old device back into very useful service.

Also, #ESPHome devices can receive #WLED UDP data over the network:

This might come in very handy if you have WLED running somewhere already and want to add another ESP that is supposed to do home automation stuff _and_ control some LEDs.
