Slightly annoyed by the state of Matrix bots, and the fact that the best way to get certain integrations working might be to set up a Discord chat, use a Discord bot, and bridge it to Matrix.
@DekOfTheYautja@social.vivaldi.net Actually, that looks pretty nice. Seems that they're rolling their own federation with Polyproto instead of Matrix, though I can't say that I blame them.
@deadsuperhero It is super nice. AGPL, self-hostable, federated ^soon, feature-packed, blistering development speed, really nice to look at, etc. Been using it for a while.
I just feel like integrations for Element are kind of woefully unmaintained. There are community bots that you can run, such as a webhooks bot for reporting things, but all of that takes extra know-how and setup on the backend. It feels as though Element's official integrations offering never really got updated.
@deadsuperhero isnt matrix running out of money/loans? Certainly seems like their stuff has stagnated in the last while.
@nigel@unsociable.lowkey.party I think it's the Matrix Foundation itself that is hurting, I'm pretty sure Element itself is all under a private company.
