I tend to start with questions like:
- Can they imagine hypotheticals?
- Are they able to reflect on their own thought-processes?
- Do they want to understand all the relevant evidence before making a decision?
- Will they reconsider a decision if presented with new evidence?
I could probably write a much longer essay about this, given time.
@anna_lillith I always laugh when someone talks about "critical thinking." No one ever says what that is, but as far as I can tell, a person who is a "critical thinker" means they agree with you.
