I feel ChatGPT app degrades so much that only way to use it is just using a web app and codex cloud 🫤
@cheeaun@mastodon.social No dots for me yet 🥲
@null I also don't have.
But everyone is just going after openclaw/hermes but with better UX and more hype. Grok bot, Muse, Dots…
@cheeaun@mastodon.social I kind of not sure what's the difference between openclaw/hermes and usual chat yet 🤔
@null they are more like "assistants" instead of coding, so the target audience is for the general public. Like tell the bot to buy food for you 🤣
openclaw/hermes runs on your own machine. grok bot, dots, muse "rents" a machine for you.
@cheeaun@mastodon.social It sounds a bit too crazy to me to give those money stuffs, or life stuffs to bot doing thing for you somehow. Although, if they do my chore stuffs for me I will totally let them do it 🙈
@null there are some useful "chore" stuffs e.g. keeping track of pricing of an item on Amazon then auto-notify you when the price drops, then safeguard prompt you before actually buying it. This is probably the "good" use-case.
The "bad" use-case would be someone using the bot to spam buy tickets for a concert and DDOS the website 🙈
@cheeaun@mastodon.social I think concert tickets are already DDOS by bots in the past. So no different I guess.
That chore price drop stuffs or grocery buying maybe can be a use case, but I'm wonder do people really trust all this bot to handle money stuffs. 🤔 I guess they still need you confirmation (or manual credit card, bank verification step) manually.
@null yeah DDOS was already a thing, but now will be even more 📈
As for money… there's X Money from X, and "agentic payments" from Stripe and whole bunch of startups (YC backed *a lot* of those agentic whatever startups). They're already anticipating all these things 😅
@null slowly evolving to dots 🤪
