HomeView is not available in the EU because Siri AI isn’t available there. I think Europe should hold the line on this, or find a compromise that will allow limited third-party voice assistants. Talking to my OpenAI dot on a HomeView is exactly what I want.

@nickheer looks like Apple HomeView requires your connected iPhone or iPad to have Siri AI in order to also offer Siri AI. I guess they either couldn’t get it done on device, or decided not to for whatever reason.
@manton What’s notable to me is that Siri A.I. is available in the E.U. — but only on the Mac. There doesn’t seem to be a legal restriction for why it couldn’t be available on an appliance like this, too, so I think it must be a software/configuration explanation.
