You just need to find the right AI image and it will break the spell. This view of NYC sent him into ... a state.
I bet if you don't live here it looks kind of OK.
So just show them something they know and it'll all fall apart.

@futurebird who needs to get to jersey!
@futurebird that looks like it was made by a homeschooling intern at Highlights magazine 🤨
@futurebird I visit once every few years and even I have some questions about this map.
@futurebird no, I don't live there (though I've been there several times) and it looks very wrong right off the bat
@futurebird ah yes, the Biboro Bridge and West Central Park West with those killer views of Fort Lee and the Mohawk River
@futurebird You get a skyscraper and YOU get a skyscraper, EVERYONE gets a skyscraper! Also, what’s up with that huge park on the upper west side?
@futurebird Why are there no bridges to New Jersey? There should be 3, shouldn't there? Along with everything else. Jiminy Christmas!
@futurebird not even from NY and I know that is violently wrong.
re: AI map of NYC that broke my husband
@futurebird
Why do those bridges look straight out of SimCity 2000?
@futurebird When did Broadway fall in love with the NW corner of Central Park?
@futurebird as non American who has been to NYC, and who is a bit of a map nerd... The problem is not Manhattan, so much as everything else... I mean how the fuck is Queens so close to the Bronx, and how is Manhattan higher against the river than New Joisey???
@futurebird Love to take the GW to The Bronx
@futurebird Speaking as someone who knows virtually nothing about New York, it does not even look kind of okay.
@futurebird as someone who doesn't live in NYC... it does look sorta ok? provided i am ignoring the general genAI vibes, and unimportant details like there being *two* horizonts, which i'd otherwise interpret as big red flags to ignore everything this says precisely *because* i wouldn't know.
@futurebird ...then again, it also *does* say "hell's kitchen" on there. is that a real place? sounds more like the name of a restaurant thats kinda a secret gem but you have to know it than something that would go on a map like this.
(in my defense for not knowing shit about new york: i challenge you all to assign country names to a map of europe)
@futurebird idk about nyc but the two horizons is something special
