The sad truth about media streaming is that everything is split up between services so much now that it's impossible to watch everything you want to. It's the most annoying thing in the world to be told "I'm sorry, but your bundle of overpriced subscriptions do not apply, and will not get you this show that you've been looking for."
Also, depending on your choice of operating system, there's a high chance you can't even use the best dedicated app to watch it, and get a downgraded experience in the browser.
I've been building a Steam Machine / Kodi Box for this very scenario. As a final twist of the knife, it's very difficult to find the kind of media you're looking for for individual purpose, so there's a high likelihood you will have to pirate everything.
@deadsuperhero I don't really have a problem paying for them. You can get 5 subscriptions for the price of 1 cable TV subscription. Without ads. My problems are 2-fold.
1. Privacy - as with any modern service you give up all rights to privacy.
2. They're just horrendous. Pushing whatever they want you to see, and hiding most of their library, while pushing ads for upgrades.
