Absolutely! Taking the time to stand and become a board member is critical to keeping OSMF functioning, even if there are only 4 candidates that's what keeps the lights on so we can keep supporting OpenStreetMap!
@openstreetmap Mine seems to be missing the #binface option; isn't that compulsory these days?
You'll have to ask the Count to run if you want that option on the ballot I'm afraid. 😢
@SomeoneElse Is Count Binface a member of the OpenStreetMap Foundation?
I've never seen The Count and the Board in the same room, for all we know Count Binface could already be among us!
@openstreetmap I didn't get one, even though I wish I would. I think it's because I wasn't a member the full 90 days or something
Unfortunately yes, one of the requirements to vote is to have been a member for 9 days: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Foundation/AGM2026/Election_to_Board#Who_has_the_right_to_vote
Hope you get a chance to vote in the next OSMF election though and thank you for becoming a member! ❤️ 🗺️
@openstreetmap thanks to the 4 candidates willing to stand
