🫤 So most of the design tools now a day are web or online only? Only Sketch still have native desktop + local file? They also have online storage but even MCP is also local (kind of nice, only issue is, it's not that reliable when work with multiple files)
@cheeaun@mastodon.social Aren't those more like create a graphic art design? Not an app or flow like Figma/Sketch?
@null true, i guess everyone (and agents?) want collab online still? 🤔
@cheeaun@mastodon.social like 20 calls per month! https://developers.figma.com/docs/figma-mcp-server/rate-limits-access/ even pay more, you get 10 per minutes 🫠
@null do designers even still use figma? I went to some designers meetup, they say now mostly use claude 🫠, basically getting rid of "mockup time" and go straight to workable/realistic prototypes.
@cheeaun@mastodon.social in my company, they still do and maintain design system (colors, fonts, components) in the Figma. I think Europe probably a lot slower to move to those Claude design than US and Asia.
Although, I like that you can see everything in one place with Sketch/Figma tho, kind of different way to see it but I use both.
@null I think Claude Design can do all that too? It'll probably make the see-everything canvas as HTML page 🤣
@cheeaun@mastodon.social It can, but it's kind of lock down to Claude? and you have to pay to open it 😬
Stop paying, and you have access to chat only or you need to export before. So, I prefer use the good old tools and make claude put the design and generate html somewhere else ( https://sketch.llun.dev 🙈)
@null that's the whole point 🤣 Engineers, designers, PMs all use Claude for everything. Then, "save cost" by stop paying Figma 😈😈
@null Affinity and Pixelmator Pro?
