How does anybody not see through the whole *free now, expensive later* thing?

I mean, i get it for things like streaming tv trials. But something like this, they are obviously aiming for dependency (like drug dealers).

@wizbean @catsalad Slop code is neither free nor open. The extremely nebulous licensing *alone* should preclude anyone using them in OSS. LLMs have ingested code from wholly incompatible licensing schemes such that everything using code generated by an LLM would have to be unquestionably GPL licensed and also absolutely, under no circumstances be GPL licensed.
