Any words or terms used to label and criticize abuses of power will be treated as unconscionable slurs by the powerful people who support and are responsible for those abuses.

"Woke," "DEI," "critical race theory," and a bunch of other terms were coined to address anti-Black racism in the US and each and every one of them has become a snarl word in the minds of white conservatives, whether they are Republicans or Democrats.
"It's antisemitic to oppose our genocide" is a very obvious ploy.
