the tech industry is about to invent books
@MattBinder this could be worse… AI could develop leetcode
We already had that with Dr.Kawashima on Nintendo DS. Didn't work.
Whereas muscle training needs dumb repetition to exhaustion, the brain needs new, deep challenges and new input. You don't get the latter with shallow, generated "challenges", but with deep understanding.
@MattBinder this guy seems like the kind of guy to pronounce "gym" like Homer Simpson does. https://youtu.be/rFrPz1WkBvk
@MattBinder someone show this man "where do you work out" "the library," his life will be changed
tech bros really underestimate all the work my brain does when scrolling instagram reels for 4 hours straight
@MattBinder @moritz LinkedIn is on it. You can now do sudokus and other mind puzzle when you check the AI posts from people working across the hall from you.
@MattBinder Can we take a moment to thank the ancient Greeks for inventing gymnasiums thousands of years before we needed them
@MattBinder probably a shitty version of a book
@MattBinder
As they have done The Bus so many times now we've lost count.
The United States especially, created a car culture which has led to a lot less human movement in daily life. They are intent on doing the same to cognition.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Not many people want to get of all cars completely, just that shouldn't be the entire focus of the environments we live in.
AI et al will have its niches but it shouldn't be shoe horned into everything everywhere.
@MattBinder
"Modern work do not require physical work"
What about builders ?
@davep
@MattBinder books, crossword puzzles, sudoku, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles.. what are they going to do, make them with AI and no one will want them?
Always one step ahead, these guys...🙄
I didn't think *this,* Link at end, would come true, but sadly I believe they will release this as a press release 1 day https://sightlessscribbles.com/posts/introducing-book/ @MattBinder
@MattBinder Wait until this guy hears about libraries!
