In one of Jeff Tweedy's books, he mentioned the band Cluster in the same breath as Can and Kraftwerk, so I went to check Cluster out. It turns out one of the members of Cluster is Conrad Schnitzler, who pops up in comics by Matt Howarth as a recurring minor character. I always assumed Schnitzler was just some friend of the author.
But no, I learned that Schitzler was kind of a big deal.

In yet another surprising connection, Ron & Russel Post, known collectively as Those Annoying Post Bros. in a Matt Howarth comic of the same name, were named for Ron & Russel Mael of the band Sparks. I wonder how the brothers Mael felt about their namesakes running around with machine guns.
At some point I purged all but a single box of my #comics. I'm hoping Those Annoying Post Bros and spinoff Savage Henry both made the cut.
Goddamn, those comics were fun.
