@sun I’ll happily argue which ever side of the debate that makes the people in the lunch room more angry but in the privacy of my brain I’m concerned about the energy prices, the situation over here isn’t great as it is
@sun let's see how much we hear about it now that the elections are over. 'affordability' will go away too.
@lain did you see elizabeth warren is gonna go hard on crypto probably. I don't think democrats will do more than about one fucking real, positive thing, but they are almost certainly gonna fuck crypto
@sun i was skeptical about the water usage stuff which did turn out to be dishonest (most are using closed loop) but the real downsides are the cost of electricity, low amount of jobs and horrible noise pollution. its a lot worse than i thought.
@mono there is a bunch of shitlib agitation over datacenters which is bullshit but yeah there are very real issues that people should care about

"Three volunteers with the No Janesville Data Center effort met us there. Alyssa Capozziello is a disabled mom who resolved last year to become more engaged in her community. Kaycee Peterson, lean and ponytailed, is finishing her bachelor’s in environmental science. Cathy Erdman is a local organizer and firefighter who just returned from a vacation to Mongolia."
