Part fess, part tip. I'm too stingy to buy a water bottle with a sip cap. Instead I bought a large squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup, threw out the contents, and that's now my water bottle. People think I'm swigging chocolate syrup, which makes it more fun as well as thrifty.

@kahomono @fesshole There was a comedian and magician (sadly no longer with us) who was known as the Amazing Johnathan, and he used this gag in his act.
He'd say, "I feel like taking my clothes off and running around." Then he'd produce the bottle of "Windex" and take a big swig, after which he'd say "this prevents streaking."

@fesshole I can see this working out. A Contigo reusable water bottle is 14 USD. A squeeze bottle of Hershey chocolate syrup is less than 4 USD. Both are leak-proof and spill-proof bottles with sip spouts, so yes, the economics do seem to work out. Of course, it would be even cheaper if the OP used the syrup as well, but Hershey syrup is quite bad.
@fesshole even better troll - get a cleaned-out Windex bottle and refill it with the bright blue Gatorade or Powerade.
