I want to PAINT. I am currently fussing over how to proceed. I've already spent 2 hours on this and am hardly any closer to being able to PAINT.

I'm currently trying to replicate a photo I found. I've loosely traced outlines from the photo so I get the general composition right, but am now free-handing the rest of the image. It's slow going and I'm not entirely happy with my progress.

Option 1: Keep going. This part of the process is important! Even though it means maybe not getting to paint today, or this weekend at all.

Option 2: Literally trace the photo outright and then paint that.

The original photo will be linked to and credited in either case.

Option 3: Use an AI-generated image (unrelated to the photo) as an outline and paint that, making it clear how the lines were generated and that only the paint is mine.

I'm guessing few of you would pick option 3.

Option 4: Alternate suggestion?

I have to go do other things for a while, and I'm not sure I'll get back to this tonight. I do hope to paint tomorrow if nothing else though.
