There’s a chap on the Swift forums who posted about his new desktop agentic coding harness (built with AppKit) who within days of posting the announcement switched to Rust GPUI.
I’m all for making good engineering decisions, but cargo culting is going to cause weekly rewrites from here on out 😆
BTW: I am not insinuating that switching from AppKit to GPUI is a good engineering decision. I know nothing about GPUI, and a great deal about AppKit.
I assume it’s cargo culting because of Rust, which is itself a cult masquerading as a very decent programming language.
