Who here is still using Gemini?
(the protocol, not the LLM)
@ChrisWere I voted "no" because I haven't used the *protocol* in a while, but my personal site still uses gemtext. And I'll likely add it to my #Nytt tool soon.
I use it like markdown, and if your HTTP(S) browser requests gemtext (or doesn't explicitly prefer HTML) it'll give it to you. for example, `curl`:
@ChrisWere Still have mine up. Haven't posted in a long time. Don't want to take it down, though.
@ChrisWere On and off.
I've been wanting to build a thing that lets me simultaneously host www, gemini, and gopher fromna single source, but life (and my ADHD brain) keeps getting in the way of that.
I've also been playing with reticulum.
@me I've been meaning to get into reticulum, looks awesome
@ChrisWere still playing that game with flower...
@ChrisWere
I never used it, but that doesn't mean I won't.
(FWIW, if you wanted to sell me on it, I still don't fully understand the point of it. Kind of seemed like reinventing HTTP..?)
@ChrisWere I'm still using it. More for reading than posting, but it is really nice slow-web. Text written for the sole purpose of being available to read. Personal, non-commercial, thoughtful stuff. HTML doesn't offer the same quiet isolation as Gemini.
