Stayed up too late last night watching "Data Daddy" Kornacki. Finally turned off the light and tried to sleep after it was clear the Dems had won both the House and the Senate.
Woke up this morning and immediately checked Michigan. Wow.

@lilithsaintcrow feels good.
Somewhere there is a thinktank producing a report on the value of money in campaigns…
And it is not a good buy.
@thegibson Penny wise and pound foolish, is what it is. Especially when spent on “consultants”.
Today I'm going to celebrate a bit, because YES. And I know things don't change immediately.
And (not but, AND) I want the maps properly redrawn and the Supreme Court expanded. I want impeachment trials, plural. I want hearings and Medicare For All.
I want it all.
I do NOT want "compromise" with the corrupt fash bootlickers and psychopaths. I do not want "bipartisanship". I want consequences for the cruel, nasty weirdos who cheated, lied, stole, killed, and impoverished everything they touched. I want them stripped of all power and influence.
@lilithsaintcrow I intend to make a polite but forceful call to my representative’s office (with some regularity) to emphasize this particular point.
(I also want all the high-paid Dem consultants who told winners to "water down your message" or throw trans people under the bus cast out into the cold and ignored for the rest of history. As a little treat.)
The corrupt fascist regime cheated, lied, stole; their billionaire overlords poured money into the campaigns for their repugnant henchfolk. And they got absolutely, positively SHELLACKED.
In my grandfather's immortal parlance, "their asses done got beat."
