I took a photo of this sign because I thought it was funny and then I immediately saw a cute striped t-shirt and bought it so I’m happy to report that I am the size of a large husky boy.
@Alice I like that they gave up on translating "Husky" to Spanish.
@Alice Ouch! I didn't even know this still exists! When I was maybe 10 (1971?) my biomom told me I was getting fat and threatened to buy me Husky clothing if I kept gaining weight. I didn't even know what it meant but I knew it hurt.
@Alice A 1970’s trip to the mall as a heavy kid with a mom bent on getting me supportive shoes would include a stop at Sears for Husky Toughskins Jeans and then picking up some Zips Sneakers at Stride Rite. I wanted Levis and some Vans - but alas I “needed” ankle support.
@chontorres Oh my. Hopefully you finally got your Levi's and Vans!
But isn't it a cute stripe pattern?
Here's proof that I really did buy the husky boys shirt. Also proof that it doesn't actually fit over my boobs but that's not going to stop me from wearing it.
@Alice husky boys probably have the same complaint.
@nguarracino I was honestly thinking about this when I bought it because I didn't try it on, but I was like surely they added some fabric to the chest area for those husky boys?
@Alice
Please! I know they’re up there. I’m trying to look at your eyes, I swear!
@Alice Stripes like these always make me doubt my ability to focus. Husky boys in these t-shirts would be a visual crisis.
I have bad eyes. 🙈
I once took my car in for an annual inspection and the guys asked how I could see with almost burned out headlights pointed in the wrong direction. I said I simply assumed I was slowly going blind.
🙀
@Alice This is how my mom dressed me in 1975.
@Alice this is exactly what a large husky boy would say
@Alice Tag yourself I’m Niños Husky
@Alice Legit thought this was going to be some kind of furry thing 😛
