One of the things that have been showing up with AI that I find really interesting is that a lot of people seem to use it for various things they don't have respect for.
For example, a friend of mine teaches at a university, including computer touching, and has a class that is half that half some writing stuff. The writing staff basically say "feel free to use LLMs for coding, it's great for that, but never let it write for you".
Once you see the pattern, it's easy to notice it everywhere: the musician that generates graphics, the programmer that generates documentation : whatever you don't respect as a craft in and of itself you're fine with generating "or else it simply wouldn't exist". Of course when you talk about THEIR special interest this is no longer valid argumentation.
In large part, this seems to happen because in our hyperspecialized world, we only respect things directly related to our specialties, with everything else being "whatever". It's a corollary of the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect, a side-effect of knowing so little about what goes into other pursuits as to basically discount them mentally.

building community isn't easy, and many communities suck, but i think it's a necessary part of achieving a good life for all
@toast I enjoy programming but tbh a lot of the bullshit surrounding it can get fucked and AI got me past it and the community of chucklefucks that want you to suffer because they suffered. I'm not going to beg anymore for ppl to document their shit or merge a patch or explain what they're doing, or use fucking awful tools written by misanthropes. it might sounds like I say I hate programming but this is shit that's been a problem in the "programming world" since the beginning that nobody really likes, we're all just stockholm syndromed.
Fundamentally speaking, we live under a system where people are unreceptive to anything that demands something of them. This includes "learn things other than your specialty" but ALSO "learn your specialty". It's hard to imagine a way out of this one, but my approach for a while now has been to try to do everything. And if I don't want to do it, then it doesn't get made.
@toast this is why i say: Every LLM use is a missed chance to build and strengthen community
