US midterm elections coming up this Tuesday.
There will be a fairly large number of tight contests, and in each one of them, someone who thought they might win will lose. And none of them, and none of their supporters, will be be happy about it.
Remember that this is not, in and of itself, evidence of fraud.
@wordshaper How do we know that? The amount of actual documented fraud in modern US elections has been so miniscule that I'm not sure it's possible to generalize about it.
@mattblaze I was generalizing from other types of fraud, where it seems fairly common for the fast accusations to be distractions and in fairness may not apply to elections. (Though certainly the loudest accusations in recent times have come from folks who have been committing or trying to commit voter fraud. There may be some reporting bias there)
@mattblaze we also need to keep in mind that people *committing* (or trying to commit) fraud are often the quickest and loudest people to accuse someone else of fraud.
