@voxel quick and easy initial install, dreadful for actual user configuration, like Linux 15 years ago, so I've got like, half a wayland desktop going at the moment, lol
@voxel all my hardware was detected, no problem, also had it plugged in, so I didn't need to worry over wifi
@voxel have to manual add users and groups; gotta add your user and root to the dang video group, such is common, I can navigate, it's just slow and there's dead ends, just installed sudo and added my user to the sudoers file after figuring out how to force visudo to use nano! Good thing I've been doing this shit for decades or I'd be lost
@20000lbs_of_Cheese if you want steam you're pretty much limited to linux or (potentially, if you roll a nat 20 on the compatibility lottery) freebsd. If you're willing to multiboot for your games though, you could try one of the other bsds and tell me if it's good so I can myself migrate away from linux someday
