@futurebird
Not sure what is the best answer for "no, not at all" :/
I would pick the last one but the "really" makes me confused about whether that's the correct one for me
@futurebird
I played in the bell choir then sang in the youth choir through middle and high school (two different churches). So I attended services regularly, but only to perform my art, not listen to the service.
My high school choir kept losing singers to the church (because the conductor was fantastic and our high school conductor not so much), so eventually hired him to run our high school choir after I graduated.
I attended Sunday school only for the free donuts.
@futurebird I was a choir boy, so yes. But also, I was already a non-believer and attending purely in a professional capacity.
@futurebird mother's side of my family mostly was quite secular, but they were still following some rituals, I would never know which of them were religious and which just a part of Jewish Soviet culture.
@futurebird somewhere between the first and second option. We were religious, my mother even thought religion in school. My brother and I were in the choir and played parts in the nativity play, but if we had nothing to do in the service we often enjoyed lengthy breakfasts as a family instead of going to church. Which is quite typical for the environment I grew up in and actually what I do to this day. I'm still in the choir, as is one of my kids, who's also the drummer of our band, I sometimes read the scriptures and I'm a presbyter. But if none of us has anything to do we often stay at home, have one of those lengthy German breakfasts and enjoy our time as a family together.
@futurebird very peripherally, high holidays but always with a very secular vibe.
@futurebird I only just started in my 40s, and have no idea how anything works.
@futurebird I have never been to church with my family. I had a brief stint in Sunday school, but quit because they "just talked about God and Jesus."
