Look, you can give me a mission where I have to shoot down a thousand trash planes, or you can give me a mission where I have to shoot down one unkillable super ace. BUT YOU CAN’T PUT BOTH IN THE SAME MISSION
UPDATE: Turns out this mission is just a dumb puzzle. Do it with a plane that can carry the SASM special armament and it becomes drop dead simple

You don't even have to carry the SASM from the jump. Start the mission with something like the 4AAM to knock down all the trash mobs, then land and reload with the SASM when you reach the mission-end fight against Shadow squadron. The F-15C can carry both.
