I can hear a cat meowing loudly behind the door of my neighbor. I can hear a TV too. I have an over-active imagination and worry they are sick in there and so I'm going to try knocking and asking the doormen if they have seen them?
Am I paranoid?

@futurebird If it's unusual to hear a cat and a TV at this time of day, if for them to not answer to knocking - no, you are doing the right thing to check in on them.
You are not paranoid, you are aware of things that don't feel right and are thinking of others.
Yay! Everything is fine. They have a new kitten 🐱 I think I’ve annoyed her a bit but I don’t really care I’m just glad everyone is okay.
Perhaps the doormen have their phone number.
